Jing Thai Restaurant

Finally got round to going to the Jing Thai Restaurant on Friday, first time since the name & ownership change!

We went fairly early on Friday so we had the place to ourselves, which was a little unnerving.  However, we needn't have worried as the food was excellent, mixed starter, Tom Yom soup, Thai red curry for my wife and a rather spicy chilli noodle dish for me, all washed down with a Singa beer.  The portions were rather large too, so I was struggling a bit towards the end, though I didn't feel bloated as we walked home.

The only downside is that they don't appear to do a set banquet menu, but it just means that you have to choose what you want!!!

It's on Middleton Rd Tabby, opposite Lidl - we've been meaning to go to since the ownership change so thanks for the reminder Penguin.

Sounds lovely.  We can only go to foreign food places when we're with people who know what to order as we haven't a clue.  Apart from Kung Fu from the chippy

Really called Janet (and still confused)

Re: Jing Thai Restaurant

Sounds good - will pop in next time we are eating out locally.

In related (nearby) news...   Secret Sip.   Much as I like craft beer (any beer, in fact, aside from the bland Carling/Fosters style of chavvy lager. Even if you want a cold refresher, I can't work out why people choose those over an IPA, MPA or the excellent local Lees lager or a tasty Peroni, Moretti etc ... why ?!?! ) I am struggling with the idea of paying more for 2/3rds of a pint than I normally pay for a whole pint.

What am i missing?

Small, mainly local, breweries doing small batch runs - You have to pay a premium!
