NHS Dentist

Does anyone know an NHS dentist that can be trusted to do a good crown?

Re: NHS Dentist

My crowns were all done by Julia who used to own the Oasis dentist on  Rochdale Rd. She moved to a practice on Church St Littleborough. Don't know if she's still there but she was a few years ago when my youngest was having braces. All I know is she did a brilliant job of my crowns.

Re: NHS Dentist

Thanks Tabby, my daughter-in-law has now recommended someone, who will hopefully sort out the "Nanny McFee" crown I've just had done.  Not only is it the wrong colour, it also protrudes! And it's a front one!   All I need now is a wart to complete the effect.

Re: NHS Dentist

Go back to the dentist who did the crown Nola. My new crown at the front was bulky and the wrong colour. It felt and looked as though it belonged to someone else.I told my dentist I wasn't happy with it so he redid it, it's fine now.

big_smile  Milly! Not far wrong, just one tooth instead of two!
Mags I just can't bring myself to go back to the dentist.  If it was a jumper or a pair of shoes ok, but it's so personal!  And I feel it was partly my fault because I'm colour blind so left the colour match to him.   And basically, if he was happy to let me go home with a protruding crown of the wrong shade, I just don't trust him to try to put it right.
I do feel a bit stupid.
